The Mies pavilion from the Barcelona World Fair.

For the Barcelona World Fair architect Mies Van der Rohe draw a pavillion setting a new standard for excellence in the simplistic international style. Light and materials along with simple shape and space are the key factors here. Notable and probably more well known internationally is the sofas and chairs carrying the city’s name.
